    I used to use a cargo strap and just ratcheted it until they pulled out. It would also hold the pins in.

    Ya know if you pull the handle then back into it the pins will release right? Theyre under pressure from pulling the trailer forward against the pins. Ive never had to beat pins or use fancy tools to release tandems lol

    Should have caught that on a pre-trip... no? I wouldnt take a trailer that doesnt work properly.
