I'm not in PA, but I'd like to participate, if it's ok.
1. Round trips are all over he place. I've been on runs as short as 5 miles each way, to runs over 300 miles each way. Seems like lately most runs are in the 100 - 175 range each way.
2. We charge by the load, not the hour (except standby time).
3. Average for us is no standby time unless the well breaks down. We just put enough trucks on the job to keep up with the job, and no more.
4. I'd say about 45 minutes average. Only takes 20-25 minutes to actually unload unless you're having to string a lot of hose. The rest of that is getting turned around and backed in and hooked up.
5. We've been hauling for the same company so long now, I have the sand coordinator's phone numbers and they have mine. They know where we are at in rotation so many times I'll get a text before I get there telling me what bin to go to. If not, I'll text and find out when I'm on the lease road. If all that fails, I'll get to location and then ask him. Most of them have CB's in their pickups and one even has one in the data van. Worst case I'll have to get out and go find him. -
Thank you for taking the time responding to my thread
