I just reread the post. Thdey never said they weren’t responsible for maintenance and upkeep, just it was more practical with a leased truck (I read that as newer model year) with warranty and less failure rates on a newer engine

What do you want as proof, a picture of the title?

I did a lease wasnt easy. Got the title with 12000 buyout. Its a learning experience its rough but when you do complete a lease it just reassures you that you can do it on your own financing. I use same model as an owner with new truck as i did with a lease. As a o/o i dont wanna go back to a lease so the tools i learned under a lease i still use and bank as much as i can.

Company i have my truck leased to does a percentage lease 70/30. Some customer loads are $ 2,3 ,4 mile loads. If their are no loads avail. You can work load boards. For most part comparing their lease to a lease i did 5yrs ago with a buyout its about 700+ more per week depending how many loads you find on your own off the load boards. Doing nothing more than company loads if you dont wanna find your own loads i make on avg 700 to 900 wk. After deducting 1000 for Trk expenses . Fuel cost included. So the opportunity to succeed is good depending who you lease to . Personally based on MI or % i would never do MI again. But in fairness thats based on the fact i can work boards for my loads and the right to refuse

This is very helpful stuff... I will definitely avoid lease purchase for now. Probably better if being company drivee
