Anyone sue TQL? Looking for an attorney to sue TQL

I heard from several of O/O that TQL refused to pay for issues that was already resolved between carriers and receivers. I also heard that they will send you a confirmation to go pick up a load and after you drive 100s of miles they will cancel the load and refused to pay for your miles.
having said that, when TQL brokers called me to haul for them I refused or sometimes I did not respond their calls. However a few days ago a TQL broker called and asked me to haul a load. I told him what I heard from other O/O and I would not haul a load for his company even dough he pays me what I wanted. He agreed with my rate and I told him that sorry but I don't trust them so I hung up.
He called me back and asked me what he should do to gain my trust again.
I told him if he send me a confirmation in which states my rate and if he cancels it he will pay me 1,000 dollars I will haul his load. He did.
I did hauled the load for him. By the way, the rate I charged him was a little bit over $ 6.00 per mile.

The point I want to make here is not all of them are dishonest and worthless human beings. In the past I talked to some of them and there were unprofessional and arrogant. what they wanted to pay me were a very insulting rates, therefore I stop calling them and to make matter worse I heard bad deals with friends of mine. This time I stood my ground and I did not move my truck until I meet my request.

 

^^^^ That's true. Have seen it so many times over the years. When they need you they will meet your terms. I never book anything cheap from them. Most of what I book from them are over the top good. Every time I see someone say "all TQL has is cheap freight" I just laugh. Learn some lanes and there's times when they'll be begging to load your truck at whatever price it takes. Do a good job covering your bases and you won't have any issues with them either

No. I wish it was mine. My father used to have one just like that in the 70s.

 

So the morale of the story is not to let a single broker have a high pile of your invoices on their desk. This may give them ideas of not paying. Or in case they go broke.

 

Similar happens on our end, too. There's a lot of crystal ball in figuring out in advance if the twenty load project from a new customer is actually going to pay out. Haven't been stung by that yet, but our company has. It's never much fun, especially because we still have to pay you guys. It isn't your fault that the customer is a deadbeat loser who got thrown into jail for felony child abuse. (True story ny the way...)

Wow they are contesting it. That's insane. At least that sort of explains how they think they can get away with this.

How did you end up 8 days late? Even with a blizzard that's a long time. Can you prove that you were held up the entire time? You said 4 days late in the OP... and doubling that does change things a fair bit.

I gotta say, if you were hauling produce this would definitely be a claim. Whether you'd win or not is a good question, but it would definitely be a claim.

The good news is that you should be able to file a claim against your cargo insurance here. I think. I'd look into that ASAP.
