What's up fellow snow mexicans like myself. Has anyone here "pretty sure someone has" rustproofed their bobtail before winter time in Ontario around the GTA?

I would like to have mine done but Rust Check does not do heavy commercial trucks.

    Thanks guys
    Cheers!

Aluminum cabs don't rust. Only old trucks had aluminum cabs. Century is last aluminum cabs I know of maybe Coronado. Not sure about newer Pete's or KW.

In my youth I managed a rustproofing shop. Had one month training in TO and Detroit. Is your truck metal cab?Lots of fiberglass these days. Pretty hard to do a OTR truck. You can do some measures yourself if you are patient The bottom of your doors should have some sort of drain. Use a small drift punch and open it up. You could take off the inner door panel and spray oil into the door. I see many Volvos that are eaten away on the doors. Spend some money on keeping the truck clean in the winter. Wash the underside. Never store your truck in a heated shop. It will rot in no time.

Yeah it's metal a very small portion on the top is starting to rust. I also really wanted to have my frames all rust proofed since I had the entire truck sand blasted and painted

    Sorry but your wrong.
An aluminum cab will definitely rust.I just spent a bunch of money on my 2002 Peterbilt because of rust/rot whatever you want to call holes in the aluminum.

IMG_1358.JPG I’ve sprayed my own vehicles for years. Krown is a great product. I have a Napa spray kit. Not the best depending on viscosity of the products you spraying. Been spraying T-Rust tm with a Shotz gun lately.

    Paccar cabs are still aluminum.

Steel rusts. Aluminum corrodes, which will turn it powdery over time.
