Yep. My truck runs 75 and also bring a glider kit truck, it pulls very well. They do plan very well. Today was a shorter day, but here are my last two day logs.

I delivered my McKinney, TX load this morning. Switched my next load a bit. Live loading down in Dallas and dropping that trailer in Smyrna, TN. After that, preplanned for a loaded trailer on our yard heading to Houma, LA for Monday morning.

So far, so good. I delivered in Houma, PFG. Took 20 minutes to unload and no lumpers. Next up, I deadheaded up to Canton, MS and live loaded to PFG Lebanon again and dropped. Now, I’m picking up in Horse Cave, KY, heading back to McKinney for another drop.

I’m getting put into a new truck at the end of the week. A Freightliner Coronado. It is also a Glider truck. So far, I’m very happy with my decision to come here.

That sounds like a great job. That small company size would be a big plus. I bet you're going to love that Coronado. Just curious, how many miles does the KW have, and are they going to sell it or keep running it? Keep us updated.

It is definitely a bonus working for a small company that has it’s own freight and don’t depend on load boards or brokers. The KW has 240,000 on it. I do believe the y don’t sell them, but I could be wrong. I overheard at PFG yesterday that they don’t have enough drivers and need us a lot more. I received a text that we are looking to hire one or two experienced drivers. So, I’d guess they’re looking to fill this truck.

Made my McKinney drop today and was giving a preplan picking up in Fort Worth and dropping it in Lebanon. Bobtail to the yard, swap out trucks and head home till Sunday. Another productive week.

I came off home time yesterday and was given a preloaded trailer at our yard going to Denison for this morning. Delivered that and came down to Dallas and loaded onions going back to Smyrna, TN for a drop.

I swapped trucks Friday. I liked the KW, but this Coronado is very nice. A lot more room and has a very smooth ride.

Been an interesting last couple of days. After i delivered the onions, I was preplanned a load picking up in KY again going to PFG McKinney. After I dropped and swapped. I had a preplan to pick up in Dallas, heading to Atlanta, then to Smyrna from there.

In my way to my Dallas pick up, it was canceled due to production issues. They offered me a broker load going to Lakeland, FL. I took it, even though I hate broker loads. Was told if I get to the customer by 11am, they load me right away. Wrong. The broker failed to tell my company that another carrier fell of this load and the appointment was for 8am.

My company wasn’t happy about this. I kept them updated and it was around 4:15pm, the owner called and said, get the hell out of there. I’ll play you for detention for the day and come back to Tennessee empty for a load tomorrow.

I’ve been doing this a long time and that’s the first time I’ve been told to leave. Didn’t even have to ask about being paid for the day. To me, that says a lot about my employer. I was given a round trip, Taylor Farms run to Chicago. Sitting in the windy now, taking my 10 to head back.

3F78FDCD-9F6B-4FD8-A70A-15E690D15FB5.jpeg Well, I got back from Chicago, took a 10 hr break and picked up a loaded trailer heading to Springfield, MO. Delivered that, and picked up in the caves of Springfield. Pretty cool place. I’m sitting in Jacksonville, FL at Publix waiting for a door. Things still running good.
