Yeah, out in Belgrade. Cheapest place so close to Bozeman. All of our terminals have to be within two miles of an interstate since we have triple permits.

No lots to put them together nearby like along the Ohio Turnpike?

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Had one in CMH when I drove for them; doubles to SAC and off weekends. Not sure anymore, however.

All of our barns are located within two miles of the interstate. Exception is MTS and NPT. Both of those only run Rocky Mountain Doubles which you can drag around as long as you want through town.

You do bring up an interesting point though. Our barn in Great Falls is located 2.25 miles off the nearest interstate... And you guessed it, our drivers used to have to drop their back trailer on River Road (which has a .5 mile stretch of an extra wide shoulder). They go .25 miles up with doubles, and bobtail back to get their box they dropped. It was asinine for us and the city. Eventually we got a waiver for the last .25 miles by DoT.

I'm so grateful that FedGov is here to protect us from some maniac pulling an extra trailer a whole 1320 feet. Without that waiver, who knows what chaos could have resulted???

Looks like a good way to get water in your wheel hubs

God... Considering the absolute shortage of drivers, you would think the idiot "running" my barn wouldn't have time to send out stupid messages.

He somehow found time to contact both my company and personal phone and left me a voicemail and text message on each.

This guy is such a dimwit considering I been there dozens of times and I only deliver tires there.

I called him back on it. "Automobile tires go to the automotive centre??? Holy hell! Couldn't you have called me about this an hour earlier? I spent half an hour trying to get the lady in produce to sign off on 8 Micheline tires and she kept refusing. I had her in tears before I left".

Only fair to waste his time after he wastes mine.

One thing about this job. One must never fail to allow for stupidity.

but there is so much of it, EVERYWHERE. From the coops to the truck stops, to other truckers, to 4 wheelers, to warehouse workers (I should say employees, but occasionally one shows up worth a ####), to management to mechanics to............................

    it's just overwhelming
and it's clearly supported and encouraged, because it grows all the time.
