Lol, signing on was against mine, but it's going good so far.

 

Not really many updates to give honestly. Everything seems to be on the up-and-up I haven't felt lied to or mistreated. I make the money they said I was going to make and I don't do anything or go anywhere that I don't want to go. If I could change anything I would want a little bit better equipment the trucks are pretty underpowered I'm not sure if they're turned down because they were with Walmart or what but this thing is a turd in the mountains. Having a top speed of 75 is nice but it takes awhile to get there LOL. My concerns about the ELD mandate are slowly going away they have ordered our ELD units and even if they are back-ordered a couple of weeks it won't really affect me because when I go home on the 17th I'll be home until sometime the first week of January anyway. I haven't had to tarp many loads which is a definite plus in my book which will also come with a different tractor and a bigger sleeper so I'm happy about that as well. I have now been searching for and finding some of my own loads as well as my dispatcher searching and finding loads for me as well so now there's two sets of eyes watching the boards and finding loads so that's been great. Overall I'm pretty happy it's been a couple of years since I've done this much over the road work I had been working local for construction companies still getting used to being on the road for this long again is been a pain I hate doing my own laundry I miss my woman so #### much LOL

 

Yep that's what I'm worried about as well I have no idea how I'm going to change my sleep habits. I'm glad you enjoyed the read LOL

 

First time back to the yard in Illinois since I started back in October. Getting the oil changed, they're putting new tires on the trailer and fixing some small issues I've had with the truck. Not that it really matters because I'm switching trucks and getting a Conestoga trailer on Friday so I'm stoked for that. These guys are just flat out good dudes and all of my concerns are gone. Talking to one of the other drivers that's here taking a partial from the yard and as we're talking the owner pulls up in a 2006 w90l with a massive Ari sleeper on the back and throws the other driver the keys and says "this is the truck you said you liked on Facebook right ? " Dude looked shocked. "Well now it's mine, but drive with me for 2 more years and I give you title." The other drivers been with him for 2 years as of right now and man did they ever hook him up. Went into that Ari sleeper and looked around a bit and then got back in my cascadia looked around and started to hate my life a little lol. Then he came up and said I've been killing it and to stick with him and I'll reap the same reward. Might not have been a new truck but it was in pristine shape, pre emissions and that sleeper was to die for. Bout to change my last name to kozlov or something.

 

Also as it turns out....nobody here is Russian, I mistook all of their accents. Everyone is from Lithuania, close to Russia but not quite. Lol opps, my ignorance I suppose. Never even asked until today.
