I'm a new driver coming out of school. I'm getting into driving as a second career. I like the physical aspects of the TMC job and I don't mind keeping the truck when I'm off duty. But I have no place to park such a thing!! I'm looking for suggestions on where to look to find someplace to safely park the truck and trailer on weekends.

Where do other people put semis in your area?

Or live in a house with a few acres big enough to park a semi as we did for us.

You just have to ask around your town. There are plenty of people or bussiness that will let you park your rig for the weekend. Just offer them a few bucks.

I park bobtail on my driveway. Trailer stays at the plant I drive for.

Find a small trucking or construction company or other small business near your home that has extra space. Some rent extra space to park monthly. Sometimes truck repair shops will have monthly parking. If you can find a fuel stop, some will let you park for the weekend if you buy fuel there, but then you risk someone damaging your rig while you are home. I prefer to pay a monthly fee for more secure parking.

give a more specific location as to were you are and someone on here might be able to give more specific answers. Asking drivers always worked for me, once I got done wading thru all the bull (sometimes) LOL

My trainer told me he parked at the local firehouse. His brother was chief.

I used to park in our church parking lot. It is a big open lot, plenty of room.

Where do you live? Some areas are not truck friendly which would limit your options.
