its pretty simple in one regard, i have a year in the seat, my options for local work is still pretty limited many local companies require 2-3 years of driving. after i have more driving time, say i do this for a year or two, i might decide that im not going to accept it..... till such a time i will put up with it.

When I had my union job, which was by the hour, boss calls me in one day, ( I was the new guy, mind you) and he says, "Semi, how come you get done an hour sooner than all the other drivers that do those routes"? I was a bit taken back by that and said, "well, I take my lunch and coffee with me, and run the stops out, and come back". Boss was happy. Guess what, the union steward was next, and said the same thing, only with a different meaning than the boss. The steward said, get this, " I noticed you are coming back an hour before the others, are you taking your breaks"? Clearly making the schmoes look bad. I said, "no, I want to get done as soon as I can, and go home". His reply, "well, we fought pretty hard for those breaks back in the strike of '88, you just take them"! It was the best of jobs, and the worst of jobs.

Maybe the casinos are subsidizing the milk in Vegas.

nothing im not already aware of. pre-cdl i worked as a raw milk receiver. even when there is a surplus there still is hauling, someone has to take it from the farm....... they say they are dumping it. that's not entirely accurate. when i worked at a milk plant, we would bring surplus milk in and seperate to the drain, cream into the silo; skim into the drain. there were days we did 600,000 lbs of milk just like that. skim has little value but cream is $$$$ around $1 per pound..... huge money in cream.

extremely unlikely they are just dumping raw milk out in the field at the farm that produces it without hauling and processing it. no matter what, it will get hauled.

I can't blame the "fool"....and it's unwise for you to side with the company.

If, again, if your company is being honest in its assessment, then having a talk, with supporting evidence should not be that hard to do. If the slacker pulls the race card, he can't win.

Simply dispatch both of you at the same time, see who comes back first. Repeat test 2 times, then terminate due to valid incompetence.

I think your "race card" explanation is made up. There's more to the story than you think you know.
