St. Albans, VT.
Doin' the Hippie Hippie shake....... -
Pittston terminal.
Started on Mon. with getting creamed by that guy parking.
Now 2nd trailer in a row, under load, I have had to bring into shop here.... in less than 24hrs.
Yeah, can tell it's going to be "one of those weeks" this time & not just a day.
Oh, how I hate when these come on.
Time to hibernate for the winter.....? LOLredoctober83 Thanks this. -
2 times for brand new truck fuel leaks and 3 times with trailer issues.. -
Richmond, VA at 90.
At least I HAVE moved, but not much.... Prediction for turning to crap week right on the money.
Trailer had to get transloaded while at Pittston. 1 1/2 days there, as took till next day for them to get authorization to break seal to do so.
Now, still sitting at 90 dock 12hrs+ and no telling when I'll get out. Due to snow down here, hardly anyone has shown up for work last few shifts, so hardly even a skeleton crew.
I used to live right here, it ain't THAT #### bad. They always put the "snowflake" in snowflake round these here parts. LOL
Ah, got to love the life sometimes...! My card just happen to come up for lousy week this time.
Eh, it'll end sooner or later & I'll get right back to business as usual. BUT, I'm going to go find that good 'ol "Murphy" & give him a good workover for good measure, anyways..... Guy pisses me off sometimes! LOL -
Ruther Glenn, VA J w/the Golden Corral till tomorrow.
FINALLY escaped the 90 after 14hrs! Whoo Hoo! THAT wound up being a rather expensive loss, for sure, after all said & done.
Now, to add insult to injury.... trailer absolutely needed a washout. Fair amount of blood in trailer. Mind you, I'm not carrying anything with blood at all. Hmmmm...
You would THINK that transloaded load would have been put into a CLEAN trailer, being as this was all done at Pittston terminal? Not like we have a trailer wash there, right? (What the hell has become of common sense, anyways....?). Not to mention, was never notified that transload was completed, even though at least 3 or more parties where involved in situation. Good thing I've learned from past experience & was able to stay on top of it. Even so, barely made the new appt.
Alias, no washouts to be found anywhere along way I need to go for next load that will be open till Mon., day late & dollar short for my pickup Sun. (Nearby one to me closed at noon, 2/3hrs before I escaped. Thank you, 90 pansies!).
Sooo, rather than just a sweep or blow out after my relatively "clean" load..... Had to run almost an hour in the opposite direction to the Beacon, here. (Thank you for 24hr service, Beacon!). Since opposite direction, will add two hours & over 100 miles to my next trip, making that a very interesting situation, no doubt, considering appt. times.
Week keeps getting better & better! LOL
Got's to end at some point & get back to normal. It always does..... just the nature of the business. I've always said this work consists of 90% enjoyment, interuppted by 10% of pure, and utter frustration! Still holding true. LOL
Just remember, it always seems much, much worse IN the moment. Tomorrow is always another fresh start to a new day that will hopefully get better. Though, sometimes it WILL become a bad week!
It's all in how you handle & deal with it, that will make or break you.
My diatribe & rant is over. Got it out of my system. Ahhhhhhhhh........
Peace, Y'all!

Carnesville, GA
And, the hits just keep coming...
Picked up old 120's dry preload & reefer wouldn't pass muster in pretrip. Luckily dry load, but going to have to drag it into shop after I get unloaded.
Uncle.....uncle.....already! -
FullMetalJacket Thanks this.
-
Sitting in a door at Budweiser (for my DRY load) and security knocks on my door saying they can't load me until I turn my reefer off.
I let security know that the reefer is off, that is my APU running.
Makes me wonder if they are taste testing the product prior to loadingJarhed1964 and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Birmingham at MY Budweiser 90.
Going to go turn on my APU....just for fun.
albert l Thanks this.
