Worked in MI, so unless your state is different....

 

It never completely goes away. You'll still have days where you can't back if your life depended on it. You'll be tired, cranky, have to pee. It'll just hopefully happen less often. At least that's how it is for me lol

 

6.5 yrs and counting, still happens to me. Tired is the worst.

 

My trainer kept moving the barrels in on me every time too come find out lol

 

To be fair, the 579 Pete's mirrors are positioned a little farther forward than some other trucks which changes the angle a bit. In a Prostar and in my current truck (Mack Pinnacle) I can blindside like a normal sight side back, but I never got use to blindsiding in those 579s. And like @mitrucker said, there are just some days that are like that, seems like you couldn't back into the broad side of a barn if you had to. It still happens to me after almost 23 years out here.

 

I’m licensed in GA so it could be different rules but I will check.

 

If I am fatigued I try and find the easiest spot possible for parking.

 

I think everybody has good and bad days.
