Peterbilt says they didn't make an 08. But i don't know the month in 2007 they shut the production line down, so i suppose its possible there are a few late 07 build dates titled as an 08.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought getting 9mpg with a Cat powered Peterbilt with the aerodynamics of a brick was a bit strange.

When I was a company guy I drove for a guy who had maybe 4 or 5 379s and 1 w9 that I drove. 6nz in mine. Got to drive the other 2ws pete for whatever reason the one day. It would have been about a 2000 model or so just guessing here. That is one heck of a truck. It's too bad they still don't make em today like that. I am happy enough with mine, even with it's red motor and emissions junk. Feel like I was born one generation late...as far as trucking goes anywaywore out Thanks this.
