Is it a 4 axle truck? Even if it has 1.4 million miles, 40k is good price for a studio kw. From the specs, you’ve found a severe duty/heavy haul truck. Is it a T800W with the wider hood?

    TripleSix Thanks this.

Not at 265wb. Sounds like a heavy 3.

You may want a little commentary by @superhauler.

Awesome specs BTW. But if I were going to buy that truck, I’d run that vin by the nearest MHC dealer. I’d do an oil analysis, I’d pull the plugs from the rears and look for metal shavings. Heavy haul trucks live an extremely hard life. Even with low miles. They average between 40-50k miles a year.
The thing you reaaaaaaaalllly have to be concerned with is, even though it was a two owner truck, is did the owner hire a driver for that truck? If the owner drove the truck, then he babied it as much as possible. If he put a driver in it, odds are pretty good that truck hasn’t been beaten to near death.

Sounds like if not going to be good on MPG. You can end up spending lots of money on fuel if your not getting good MPG.

Two things I would ask about.
    Avg mpg from the ecm.
    Total hours on the engine.
Looks to me it was maybe either a local fuel truck with pto or construction truck or something like that.

Any truck gets great mpg at 54mph. But I'm still waiting to see a new truck get stellar fuel economy. I can't find one driver that gets better than 6.5 avg with carrier spec trucks and low idle time.
