They drive west of Ohio and the Mississippi River. Almost no North East runs. That’s really all I know other than their reputation from what I’ve seen here is decent.

I know a person who drives there currently. Good long hauls and usually run from West coast to Ohio or Kentucky then down to Texas the back to West Coast. Good Trucks. Easily obtainable.05cpm fuel bonus paid weekly not quarterly. Good all around company. I was ok’d to go drive there but family life and other business made it impossible.

You can also go over to “Motor Carriers Questions” it’s another forum here and it has some Jim Palmer threads there.

I decided to leave my driving job of 18 years. I almost wentbto Jim Palmer. What AKfisher said matches what I know from a JP driver. You can rely on their info. Their school is top notch. They follow the Prime, Inc model for training newbies. School is in Missoula, MT & Springfield, MO. They only haul Prime loads/trailers.

If my company went out of business and I needed a job right now, Jim Palmer is where I would go. I wish they had a tanker division.

As of last year their health insurance was Health Savings Account only. You pay $85/week into a savings account. You can spend it on medical bills or save it. It belongs to you until you spend it. It's NOT conventional health insurance.

I think I am going to go with continental Express one reason is their medical insurance is free to the drivers and in my opinion their pay table looks pretty decent.. I just have to wait which sucks because they don't have any female trainers.. But the lady at the school I am going to is doing everything she can to see how to get me into her drivers school since I don't qualify for grants..
