    Sure, get a cat and be prepared to serve its majesty, you be the one going down the road bowing praising the cat. At least a dog is happy to see you, will protect you and get exercise with you,now a cat will only rule you...not a cat person.

    Maybe 10% of companies allow pets. Probably half or more of those companies have weight limits, on pets not drivers. I've seen weight limits as 40, 50, 80 lbs.

    Tanker companies/customers generally don't allow pets. IMO, a pet is the best option. You have company like team dtiving but uou don't have to sleep in a moving truck or argue about where to eat. It makes breakdowns & layovers a pain in the behind more thsn being solo.

    There is no average company policy. Ssk your specific company & don't even think of sneaking a pet onboard. You will get caught and it's usually a firing offense, like having a hitchhiker.
