Please refrain from making politial statements. Especially ones based on "feelings" and not facts. That can quickly and easily be proven to be misleading or just plain old wrong.

There are a few reasons. Main one is once hubby has truck title I will be dispatching him. We have had this part planned for a bit and I have been doing my studying about ins and outs of the loadboards. Plus making list of contacts. Second reason is since we plan on selling this place we need to clean up and that's not easy with animals around. Neighbor also is building a wedding barn chapel practically on top of us. All we will see and hear will we be it. So time to move out.
We lost our peace and view. Noise factor tripled with outdoor wedding and parties.

I believe you think wrong! Yes there were many many if us Ole timers "talking" about quitting. But just like we did when fuel went up to $5 a gallon we talked about quittibg. Then carried on.

Ch is only cheap and heavy to drivers who accept that. Old timers no they have good freight. And will partake of it when pushed.

I hope I’m wrong and everyone adapts and overcomes. This is a non issue and we are debating nothing.

But I think I know why they are inventing self driving trucks...i look at all the old geezers out here (of which I am one) and when we all croak it will probably be behind the wheel. And the driver pool will be cut in half.
    Omg I am sooo funny.

Cybercat, I get what you are saying about your farm completely. I used to have a place above the red river. So remote. So wild. At night there were a million stars and only the sounds of the river and trees. Then the city folks discovered the road that led to it. Gone forever.
