Maybe not. We used to have our terminal at the Dana TW a few miles up the road. Schneider was there too. It’s much bigger

Hey guys, ya have good holidays so far. I’m still home till mom or Tuesday, waiting on permit book to get to highpoint terminal, something about the truck I got came from some other terminal in like Delaware or something like that and didn’t have the permit book. Idk and didn’t complain I needed time with daughter anyways. But I’m ready to start making some good checks, it’s been like 3 weeks since i left schneider and only making training/orientation pay so far. Ready to see if i can make 1k in 7 days with this blue truck..

Looks like I will be hauling propane the rest of the winter now. Thanks to this stupid cold snap, things are really busy and its not even January yet. I'm hoping after next week it warms up a little up here. If it stays this cold too long, things will just get stupid crazy.

I just did my last delivery of the year to the mill in Rumford. Picked it up wednesday in Chicopee MA after my delivery in Glenn Falls NY. Kept the trailer in a heated bay because if it freezes its a total loss and can't really be steamed and useable. Product temp was fine but of course my internal valve was frozen. Got it going, then the hose froze, then we figured out it was a clog in the customer line causing everyhting to freeze up. So 2.5 hours of steaming later I finally offloaded and got out of there. Pays me good money when I usually have to deadhead home so not complaining too much lol.

I'm running de icer to JFK tomorrow.

Started my truck today, it's 15 degrees out. I had the block heater plugged in. It started right up, 15 minutes later engine temp 125'F. Pretty cool. Then grabbed a pre load today for a Texas driver going south.

I was told to just wait at home and call in Tuesday at 0930, I really need to go to work soon. Dispatch talking about I will tell you how to get to solenis or something, I guess I’m just gonna have to explain I don’t need anymore help or directions all I need is a load. The rest will get done

That seems to be the theme up there lately. Thursday one of my coworkers got up there at 0630 with caustic for the lime kiln. My father showed up about 0900. Neither one could unload because the line was frozen. Both left the mill around 1300 and unloaded at the pulp mill in Jay. Took my father 13 hrs for one load of caustic.

It was -23F this morning. Our trucks have glow plugs in them so they will start easier. The Volvo my father drives, started right up and ran fine all day. The same can't be said about other trucks. We had a lot of equipment break today, most of which, was fuel related. Some trucks were running for a few hours before the fuel jelled up! For some stupid reason, this outfit will not invest in a fuel heater on the trucks. The spare I was driving broke today too. Lost the PTO, so couldn't unload propane, lost the speedometer, so the truck had no jake brake, wouldn't rev above 1500 RPM, and the power was cut back. It's like I always say: "GOOD TIMES!"

I have a webasto coolant heater on my truck but its inop right now, but that thing works great in this cold weather. I had my truck parked in a heated bay for this load so it was nice and warm for me but its a real pain to start in this cold weather. Haven't had any fuel issues, the irving in Auburn seems to have good fuel and I added in some 911 just to be sure. I was tempted to just leave my truck running all weekend but instead I have it plugged in and the bunk heater running.
