Don't take any tests until required to do so. I doubt they will buy you a machine, insulin, chemotherapy or anything that your physical uncovers... seriously quit the worrying....go hang out in a truck stop...look at the drivers... they have all passed physicals... there aren't many that are in good condition.
They spend too much money getting you to orientation... the last thing they want to do is send you home.
Worry about being trapped in a can with the Mrs, 24/7, sleeping opposite shifts from each other, sleep in a moving truck... things you can do something about...things you can prepare for...talk to teams about this kind of stuff.
Get your mind set for a change in lifestyle, not just employment.

Thanks Rooster! I'll definitely take that into consideration you've been a great help
RoadRooster Thanks this. -
Like Rooster said, stop worrying about the physical. I would get a cdl manual from the dmv and start studying. They even have online practice tests for free that you can take. The hardest part for me was remembering all the parts for the pre- trip inspection. You are required to know those by heart all 100 and something parts. On another note let’s go aggravate the Laredo people one more time. After I deliver here in the morning, I’m headed to Crossville, TN for the 3rd.

Wife and I already got the books and have done a few practice tests and I agree about the pre trips haha it's alot..been studying them and watching YouTube videos on pre trips. It's alot. Luckily my buddy is in the business already and he is gonna make a trip to see me and he's gonna help me go through it on his truck so I can actually do it. I'm a hands on learner. I can read until my eyeballs bleed but unless I do it with my hands I won't actually retain it lol

We may cross paths in TN. I should be in Jackson/Lexington Monday night...if weather and traffic cooperates...if not, it will be early Tuesday...

Does your elite pass ever give you the green light or red light? Mine works for the tolls but doesn’t do anything on the scales.
paul_4lp and RoadRooster Thank this. -
Mine works fine for scales but more and more scales seem to not be using them anymore... Missouri and Arkansas should be good tests for your unit... I know mine has gone red or green there recently. Get yours checked out in Jopmo if you are still heading that way.
paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Edwin, I sure you know I am the most respected trucker... they pull me into the scales all the time and ask me to inspect their vehicles. Stay safe my friends.

Mine hasn’t went off yet. I put new batteries in it because I thought it may not be working and still nothing.
paul_4lp Thanks this.
