Happy new year every truckers!
I am a new immigrant, please excuse my poor English.
I graduated truck driving school in October and started my trucking career at the Schneider. I got an accident just finished three weeks of training. I was backing on a rainy day I hit the trailer door into an intermodal trailer and made 10 inch crack on that. I reported to the company. After four days later, at night, I was running out of my DOT time, and I need to find a parking spot. Finally, I found a small, very tight space. I was backing with following the other driver's direction, but the mutual sign was mismatched, so I scratched his truck's left side of the fender and made a crack on his convex mirror. I got confused; I pulled forward to correct the angle, I hit the other truck's bumper and crack on that. The company immediately fired me because I made too many accidents during the short span of the time. I know I am stupid, There is nothing left for me to say. Anyway, I did not get any points, tickets, citations, no one hurt, and have clean MVR. I only have one month experience but have three preventable accidents. I need a trucking job for my family. Am I unhireable now ? or can I join student training program again? Please give me some advice. Thank you.

If this is what you really want to do with having a family be honest with the next companies you talk to, explain why you had that trouble, do not blame others, ask for more training. This is not a family friendly carrier and you might be happier with a job that keeps you by your family.
TACTSON and driverdriver Thank this. -
Advice:
@Chinatown do your thing.
3 backing incidents. If you get into another truck, P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E your backing. Every single day. Start your day early and end your day early. Before the truckstops fill up, circle around the truckstop, and back into a spot just for practice, pull out circle around again and back into another spot and park it. Every single day.justcarhaulin, tony97905, BillStep and 7 others Thank this. -
You’re not stupid, you just need more training.
Never rely on others to back you in anywhere - Get Out and Look.
Never allow the clock to rush you.
The DAC will be your biggest problem - at least your record is still intact.justcarhaulin, Woodys, jammer910Z and 5 others Thank this. -
You can admit to mistakes you made and not try to find blame amongst others. You are ahead of the game already. Like others have said, once you find another job, take the time to practice your backing and take as much training as they are willing to give.

Cr England would love to have you as a trainer!

Always GOAL I'm drive local milk tanker. I'm not afraid to get out and look. Been driving a truck of some type for over a year now. No accidents. Always check yourself if needed. Once you hit something you can't take that back

And some will insist in helping you back in... still get out and look, that walk around helps calm you and gives a better perspective, and make sure you do not have to pee, hurrying will be a downfall.
RedRover, TACTSON and FalconsFan21 Thank this. -
Like others wrote, Get Out and Look is vital. Practice and more practice. And don't trust others to guide you, most of them have no idea either how your truck manuevers, still Goal. Keep up the search, someone will probably give you another chance.
TACTSON Thanks this.
