Absolutely. J-Mar Enterprises is a joke of a Trucking company. There trucks don't have GPS's. And if you want one, they take a minimum of $300.00 out of your pay before you ever see your first check. My recruiter (Paul), told me they would arrange for me to get a GPS. But after he had me come all the way to Fargo, told me I had to pay for my own GPS. It's a 50/50 chance that the dispatchers are going to provide you with the wrong address regardless. If you listen to the dispatchers, you could find yourself in the middle of the night, in a field, in the middle of nowhere. And it's the only trucking company I ever heard of that pays its driver every two weeks. No trucking company pays its drivers that way. And you'll be lucky if your take home pay is more than $400.00. Your check stub might say over a thousand dollars for two weeks. But J-Mar has a dozen reasons to take back what you should take home. If you are detoured and have to drive say 5 miles out of route, the price of the fuel comes out of your check. If your truck or trailer happens to blow a tire, they will call it driver error and charge you for the tire. And obviously, they must have the most Rinky Dink insurance there is, since if you happen to scratch the truck or trailer, that come out of the drivers pocket also. If your truck happens to get hit by a bolt of lightning or hit by a meteorite, they will probably take that out of the drivers pocket too. After driving from Fargo, all over the midwest down to Kentucky, my last check, for 2 weeks, was only $562.00. The most I ever cleared with J-Mar, after 2 weeks of driving, was a (one time only pay) of $1400.00. My pay generally raged between $320 to $600 every two weeks. Not even minimum wage. After you take out for food you will basically have nothing. They don't pay you enough to quit, but they don't pay you enough to stay either. They also let you drive the truck home when you get your home time. But what they don't tell you is that they consider the miles you drive to get home, out-of-route miles, and the cost of the fuel comes out of the drivers pocket. J-Mar doesn't give a "Rats ###" about the driver. If you have to sit in the middle of nowhere for 2 days with a load, without food, they don't give a ####! All J-Mar is concerned about is the LOAD! Nothing else. They talk polite to you, while they say sit with the load. With no detention pay or food.

But, what this driver is saying about charging for a blown tire, and out of route miles in order to get you home for your off time is in my opinion wrong treatment of a driver. If these things are true it's the type of company that drivers do need to be alerted about.

Tires & fuel come with the territory any trucking company that tries to charge the driver for this kind of thing- shouldn't be on our highways period !!!
What good are they to anyone anyway ? Burn them to the ground !!!!!
....we have enough low life trucking companies in this industry as it is already -
I talked to a JMAR driver before, he didn't have anything good to say about them. Equipment looked like junk too
