I refuse to acknowledge any day as a "holiday" when the participants in the main event cannot bring themselves to their feet and show proper respect to our flag and national anthem.

At least Mardi Gras has titties.

Weather finally got up above 40 degrees down here in this part of NM. Nothing like trying to stay commuting on two wheels of any type and dealing with that 2 to 8 degree air temp. The bicycle at least warms you up a tad. The motorcycle took about 4 tries to fire up before work, and then after sitting all night at the yard, I had to borrow the jump-box due to the battery not wanting to kick it over.

    The "no-four-wheel" winter challenge continues!!

I would be too paranoid of slipping and sliding out around curves and turns. At least the highway bars give you a better sense of not getting your legs smashed in a dump!!

That's actually the wife's bike...mine doesn't have 'em. Back in my college days, I'd head up to the folks in the outskirts of Chicago for the motorcycle show in February, and from then 'til the Toys for Tots ride in December, if I had to go anywhere, I seldom would have more than 2 wheels. Rain, snow, didn't matter. 20k miles on a little 500 in 2 years, then traded in for an 1100 Kaw. 2 years later, I was done with college and the bike had almost 30K on the clock. Would've killed myself on a Harley back in those days...I'd see a curve coming up and grab a handful of throttle and pitch the bike over good and hard. Wasn't fun 'til the pegs were dragging. 2-3 times the "suggested" speed in a curve was a starting point for an unfamiliar road, and you just can't ride a Harley like that...and live to tell the story.
