Why in the world did they load those trailers with snow? That may cause an issue, as I don't see the proper tie downs on that snow. LOL
    Enjoy and be safe.

There are a few things that DOT will like to see on different loads. The rest is just common sense.

You'll get the hang of it. Look for other open deck O/O's and observe how they are doing it.

I've never done tanker,.. so I honestly do not know what thats like. But I love the control and flexibility that open deck offers.

Hauled for McElroy for a little bit, but it’s been a few yrs. Hauled small equipment and materials for a railroad company, but other than that no deck experience. Honestly think I might have went a little overkill with the chains and straps, but I’d rather do that than not have enough. I’m sure I’m gonna get the hang of it before too long....

No such thing as too much. But yes,.. you will figure it out. Just dont get over confident and take shortcuts.

No you will NOT regret the overkill.

I put everything on anything on that deck. I don't care if it takes a hour or two more work. Sometimes something happens and that coil wants off that deck. That's when all that extra stuff helps out.

Looks like reel trailers? Just take your time and you will do fine.

Kinda my thinking. Took an 18’ skid steer trailer with a ####load of skid steer attachments to KC, MO. Ended up with 6 chains on it cause I couldn’t get it to stay tight, I’m assuming from the bouncing....
