What would be a good twin turbo set up minus the accert set up. Just wondering if anyone runs a twin turbo cat that is not the accert chargers.

Antrim Diesel used to do compound turbos, not sure if they still do.

I think the OP is wanting to do this to a B model. Not sure how is planning on fueling and timing. Wish he would post application and what he is trying to accomplish. Waste on over the road truck imho.

    SAR Thanks this.

Yes, I agree. The 7Fb has an amazing amount of exhaust energy thanks to low compression, it is really surprising at the turbos they can spin, problem is that the 7FB still has aluminum pistons and they will be the limit.

E model Cat man and SAR Thank this.

I think keeping intake air temps down would be a huge problem. Like Smokin Cat said, if aluminum piston it will not live long before cracking. Would have to drive it with super light foot. I still say try the 177148 BW.

SAR and wore out Thank this.

Aftermarket replacement for 3406E. It is wastegate style. Much newer technology than old 3406C model OR6501.

    SAR and Oxbow Thank this.
