I have noticed a trend lately. Someone will post a question and/or ask advice about a particular company. Many people will respond, most of the time the ones answering have had first hand experience with said company, mostly negative. The origional poster (who has no experience with said company) will try and argue the point and assures all of us that they are the exception to the rule and go forward with said company. Then they will post within the first week or so after orientation telling us how wrong we all are and how great the company is. Fast forward a month or so and same person is posting in the bad company section telling us all how the company sucks and how they got screwed. Now I dont wish anything bad on anyone, (well maybe a few people lol), but just because the answer you get is not what you want to hear.
I can speak for the majority of the experienced guys on here, and I am sure like myself, I do not answer a question or attempt input on things I have no knowledge or first hand experience with. Yes there are a few super trucker lunch counter lawyers who have been everywhere, seen, have , done, and know everything, but it is not hard to see through the b.s.
Why Even Ask?

There was a guy that couldn’t walk and chew gum at the same time. One time, he bit the inside of his cheek so hard that it made him stumble and fall and break his wrist. He told everyone that would listen what happened. He looked online and found others like himself that were injured while chewing gum. He went online to a forum for people that walked, did a search and read up on so many people that fell.
He joined the walker forum and started a thread asking if walking and chewing gum was dangerous and should be outlawed. Some people told him that they’ve been walking and chewing gum for years. Some people asked him if he was serious. Some told him that only idiots don’t have the brain power to walk and chew gum.
Some toothless guy that really wished that he had teeth to chew posted about how deadly walking and chewing gum is. “Chewing gum is a distraction. It should NEVER be done while walking. Look at what happened to me!” And Toothless posted a pic of himself.
AMAZING!
One of the things that they pointed to as evidence was that the people that said they could walk and chew gum couldn’t tell anyone how many times a minute they chew. “See! Told ya! They are distracted!” And they began to demonize those that have been chewing for years. New people, who have never even tried chewing gum, began to believe that walking and chewing gum at the same time was bad.
It even became illegal. People would walk around like gum cops, looking for people who were walking and chewing at the same time. See, they didn’t outlaw gum chewing, they outlaws WALKING and CHEWING GUM at the SAME TIME.
“Look at me! No gum...I walk legal.”negativecold13, PacoTaco, snowwy and 9 others Thank this. -
