Did anybody get inspected for ELD yet?

If that exemption passes and us small time operators return to using paper rather than these wonderful time management and productivity driving devices, we will be at a disadvantage. I wish the pushers of the ELD would realize should we continue the archaic paper log process that we will obviously be our demise in relatively short order.
Perhaps the big boys will have to rethink their approach of "leveling the playing field" once again.

I'm not sure that I get your point, and small operators could still use ELDs if they wanted. Do you mean that the Megas will lobby for something else to stack the deck in their favor?

Me thinks that the wink means that you were being facetious......I'm a little slow, but I get there eventually!

It ain't happening on my old mechanicals.

 

I don't have a problem using ELDs if they work.

The fundamental issue is, as it stands right now? They don't

Paper logs don't run out of batteries.

Pencils do not "lose signal" with paper. (PENS! I caught myself)

Most importantly, paper logs don't randomly change like an etch-a-sketch.
