Took the southern route and am taking my 10 in Birmingham. Sure, I have to deal with Atlanta tomorrow, but that's better than dealing with southern folk in the snow trying to get thru the gorge on 40.

Thanks. I've averaged, on full weeks out, between 1500 and 1700 gross so far. 1547 was my lowest gross and 1699 was my highest to date.

Had a taillight out today and had to buy one. Not a big deal, because it's reimbursed. Grab a couple of lights from the shop to take with you. I was lucky and at a truck stop when I discovered the light out on pre trip. I actually found it during post trip but didn't change it out until this morning. Letting Atlanta rush hour die down before running thru there so taking an extended break this morning.

You do know you can edit your logs to change anything but the drive line. Hit approve, line you want to change. Then edit. Probably get those 3 hours back if I’m reading right

Been chilling 30 miles away from tomorrow's delivery. The forecast calls for ice and snow in the morning, so it might have me stuck for a while. SC doesn't handle snow very well. I go on the clock at 0500.

Yeah, I could have done that. I was still nearly a day early. If I'd have known they'd unload me if I'd shown up before 1400 today, I wouldn't have drug my feet and would almost be back to Wilmington now.

BTW, Fountain Inn, SC will unload you if you get there before 1400. Just have your dispatch arrange it if you're ahead of schedule.

Would have liked to have done that with the weather coming in tonight.

Got in last night and made it home before the roads got too bad. Talked to dispatch this morning and will catch a load out next Wednesday. A sweet little 6 days of home time is in order.

(Personal information, not so much about driving follows)

Things I do on my home time. Some honey do list items get done of course. Catching up on man-chores is a must. The first day is always a chill and just take being home in. Taking the kids out to the arcade/go carts if the weather is nice. No matter what, spend time with each individually, even if it's just out for ice cream and a chat Build a new hive stand to expand my backyard Apiary. Look at new hunting equipment and plan for next fall's hunt. taking my oldest son and youngest daughter on hunts. They are the only two interested. Have one night for adult beverages and filing the taxes with the Missus, (that's a euphemism). Also, plan for a short dinner cruise for Valentine's day next month. Money is nice, but the company won't be at your bedside as you take your last breath. Keeping things in perspective, being a husband and Dad are priorities for me.

Almost feel as if I've had too much time off....not. called dispatch and grabbed a little jaunt up to Rochester, PA, that I'll get under tomorrow.

This is a shortish run into the system. Doing ten days, coming home for a short weekend, then doing out and backs for a week so I can get rested up.

On Feb 10th I'm taking my wife to a B&B and doing a dinner cruise for Valentine's Day. After that, I'll do some more system work.

Safe travels, y"all. Hope to see you out there.
