Good for you and them. I wish you the best.

I personally like running with my own authority. Plus I have zero interest in hiring drivers.

A lot of of these lease on places are ripping these lease drivers off royally. Especially the one's who require you to run their freight in their trailers.

I looked into MAG carriers last year, seemed like a decent company. They used to require that you ran your own plates, but now they have company trucks, has that changed?

They have a small number of company trucks, single digits from what I recall in orientation. 100+ Owner Operators.
    Need your own plates.

All these lease places where you're stuck with their freight rip drivers off, biggest reason I'm here.
I'm making more money as a noobie running spot market than any O/O I've talked to that is leased to a carrier running their freight.
In a normal world I would think that should be the other way around. These carriers can offer and demand a lot more from customers than I can but somehow their O/Os earn less.
Seems choice is either phony percentage programs or cheap mileage pay.
Month ago bumped into a UPS contractor being paid a whopping $1.20 a mile. Smh

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm completely new to the industry and have read a lot of "Sad Sally" posts so I enjoy reading about someone doing well and hearing about a company that doesn't rob the driver blind on O/O freight. Stay safe out there!

Are these the same folks that had me call back because they were in a prayer meeting? Not that there's anything wrong with that, just curious.
If it is, I've heard some good things about them.

Lol. Most likely. In between prayers they cut recruitment checks. Probably shouldn't post this. Whoops.
