I found some interesting information here
You Can Get Away With Anything in Traffic Court, With a Little Patience

I found a company that provides an Innovative service here
NYC Traffic Ticket Lawyer, Queens, Westchester Traffic Ticket Attorney – My Tickets NYC

I got a few tickets in Queens the other night due to missing my exit and getting lost. Apparently this is my court date.

This kind of seems too good to be true and I was wondering if anybody else had experience with this sort of thing.

Huh.... Texting your plea to the ticket teller?........ I'm a new breed (33), but that biz seems strange, even to me.

As an aside, I've been to Court. A lot. Lol.

Think in going to start bull-####ting people, and saying I only have a landline. We rock it old school. Call me after work.

*Posted From A Windows Mobile Device* Lol.

I argued a case by mail (might may have been fax, can’t remember) with the ADA in Utica, NY once approx 5 years ago. They said it was fairly common for non residents

Did you happen to notice the court date on that text message I got from the attorney? It seems freakishly far in the future.
I just checked New York DMV Website and so far that attorney seems legit because the court date matches on the State website what the attorney told me.
NYS DMV - Enter Your Traffic Ticket Information
If nothing else that $350 fee I paid that attorney bought me 10 months to deal with it.

The dates are a common tactic by the traffic ticket jockies. What they are hoping for is it to get pushed so far out the officer writing the ticket either can't remember or for that matter has moved on to a different job. No witness = dismissed ticket.
Even if the cop shows it makes it easier to plead to a lesser charge as the only thing left are notes of the stop. Most people can't remember a routine day in their lives a year before.

No I was in unfamiliar territory and I blinked and missed my exit.

I was wondering if anybody ever did business with this outfit. They told me I didn't even need to show up for court and that an attorney would show up for me.

That's how it works. Lawyers go to court FOR YOU.

Stick with interstate and roadlaw though. You want trucker lawyers. Not just any local lawyer who doesn't know about the trucking BS we're regulated with.
