Pros to L/P? Like what, paying a carrier to operate, fuel, maintain, and pay tax on THEIR equipment? No thanks, I like having complete autonomy and earning $2.35+/mi to the truck.
Remembered why I bought a truck.

4 months into it and it is so awfull that I am buying a second unit to lease on next month So this is what it is like to actually make money...

Well another month has gone by, still looking for a new truck to add (yeah I'm picky). I have finally found my niche and it is good.

Had I stayed in the business, this would be the path I’d have taken, this or my own authority and equipment. I leased on with Schneider for three years, and it did for me exactly what I needed it to do. I was also fortunate to have never had a breakdown that cost me money out of pocket (I did lose a week when I got hit by a four wheeler, but repairs were completed during my home time, so nothing lost).
Sounds like as much as a hassle-free gig as you can get, nightgunner. Best of luck!nightgunner Thanks this. -
