Way too many payroll games to keep up with. one example is, if you are not on a dedicated acct they force per diem at 16.5 cpm. They told me otr paid 51.5 cpm but really was only making 35 cents. The other 16.5 cents was being added as income and was being counted as per diem. The end of year tax time came around and had already used my per diem deduction as part of income. I used my deduction, got paid a lot less than promised then still had to pay taxes at the end of the year. Now I work hourly and work the same amount of hours and my check is always different... I'm stuck here due to child support for 4 more months so it's too late for me... This is a serious warning to all those that come after me... BEWARE...

After the new tax laws take affect the 16.5CPM is probably an advantage. I kind of doubt they will keep it up.
Oldironfan and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
With the new tax law they are raising the per diem to 17.5 CPM.

I always say to research a company before going to work for them by talking to CURRENT drivers. Also stay with a company for at least a year to get the hang of it.

Railroad screwed me on Miles again! I only get 274 miles!
