Update...truck has an injector out, and parts are ordered. Should be out tomorrow. The one nice thing I really like about this company is, when it came to what to do, they asked me what I want to do. They said I can stay in the hotel(at their expense) and collect breakdown pay or they can have a driver come up from Spring Hill and pick me up, and I drive a loaner. Since it 'should' be ready tomorrow, I chose the hotel. If it were going to be all weekend and a "maybe ready" Monday, I would have picked up a loaner, but being ready tomorrow, I'll enjoy a comfy room with cable tv, Chinese food delivery and a bathroom I don't have to get dressed to walk to across an obstacle course of speeding trucks to get to.

A rare pleasure to read a positive post here, seems like you’re making the best of a good situation. Always good to know what’s expected of you, without being under the microscope 24/7. No slip seating, decent equipment, having them ask you what to do with your truck, all good reasons to appreciate the job. Especially after your last job, nothing better than an attitude of gratitude!
Continued good luck to you.
Happy trails!

Congratulations.... A happy worker is a good worker!!!
Over 20 yrs ago I hauled glass sheets out of AFG in Bridgeport, WV. Sheets weren't that big overall, but was interesting for sure. Be safe out there.Shock Therapy, 4mer trucker and supersnackbar Thank this. -
Repairs complete, a day later than expected, but still early enough to run my next load. Pick up in Spring Hill headed to Grand Prairie for 6 Tuesday. Will have 3 days breakdown and 1600 miles on this weeks check. For the slow time, cannot complain.
4mer trucker, 28 and Shock Therapy Thank this. -
We are in our slow time too. It isn't too bad since we get paid per load, not per mile within our normal area. Once I leave Cali or Southern Nevada or Az I go on cpm.. I can pretty much always get an in-cali load.

Load is actually going to Irving TX, not sure what I was thinking when I said Grand Prairie. 1st double drop load I have had in a while. It took me a little bit to get back into the rhythm of securing an A-frame tarp, but once I got started, it was like falling off a bike. I actually prefer these type loads to the conastogas on the flats and single drops.
runningman0661, Shock Therapy and 48Packard Thank this.
