Lease driver as in lease purchase? Do you still have a copy of your operating contract? It should be 30 pages long. One of the pages will have the pay outlined on it. And it will cover the detention.

It it's not spelled out ether way, you create a new contract with them that does specify it.
If they are unwilling to make such a contract you move on to another company to work with that will be to the benefit of your company.

If it is spelled out (doen't sound like it) then you sue the company if it's such an issue. Like any business 2 business contracts that have fallen through and cannot be resolved by talking to the company that owes.

In a nutshell either live with it if it's not too much money, or move on to a better partnership.

Quit if you can afford to. More reason not to do a LP, a company driver could just go turn in his truck and Comdata Card and walk away clean...
