Truck was a nice one, strong, passed all the tests without a problem. Negotiated a pretty good deal but three months into having it on the road the ... turbo lost its seal on the intake side, had a runaway engine that threw a rod through the side and did other damage.
The dealer who sold the truck to me would not stand behind the warranty they had sold the truck with when the claim was rejected, which included turbo related "events". The number I posted is the total costs for the entire venture so far.
I am still dealing with legal action against the dealer and the warranty company so it is a loss I have to take right now and have to assume not to recoup a dime out of it.Lonesome Thanks this. -
the 50,000 lb should have been a good sign you were doing something wrong, unless you really only planned on hauling under 5,000 lb loads. A lot of what I know came from observation, I noticed 90% of trucks I seen say 80,000 GVW on the side, the other 10% say 110,000 and have more axles.

'A fool and their money are soon parted.' - Proverb, the Bible......
Good luck. I don't know how to fix it.
Practice your reading comprehension before the next deal.nax Thanks this. -
The closest thing is this quote from Proverbs 21:20, "There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up."Last edited: Jan 22, 2018
