With so many companies that hire recent cdl grads it's hard to pick. They all have good and bad reviews because in any field no company is 100% great. But it's so hard to pick one. With my luck I'll pick wrong and hate it. But ultimately. Even with reviews and listening to what people say I guess there's no way to tell how it will be for just that individual Is there? Sorry. Kinda just ranting i guess I don't know lol.

Those companies listed on your other thread are good; apply to them and maybe get some job offers. You're not obligated to take any job offer, but they give you a place to start considering.
Have you applied to any yet? If you're already attending classes, you should be submitting applications.

Yeah. This is my first week of school. I have conditional job offers from WDT Schneider Crete and RBX. But holy cow. There's so many options. Just not used to so many open doors and options I guess.

Out of those choices, I'd go with WDT.
Yes, trucking is different; no problem finding work anywhere in the USA. Many worry where their next meal or rent money is coming from; truckers have to wade through dozens of job offers....lol

It's not so much the COMPANY, but rather the PEOPLE.

When we joined FFE it was nice because the Actual People who had the Power to make it heaven or hell for us at work day to day were nice. Because we were nice to them. It worked out well. If that company was measured in swear words used that year or three, I would say it was a handful of times compared to the constant old time yelling back and forth with many old companies when things go bad.

The type of freight in that trailer has a great deal to do with the nice people. We discovered McKesson, running million plus dollars of pharmacy loads out of Memphis overnight east of the Rockies to Maine and frankly when you are involved in high class trucking, there is very little bad things anywhere provided you are not late. No more grubby stinky associated grocers from long ago.

By the time I graduated CDL school, I had a dozen offers. I had accepted the best one, two weeks before the end of class.
During that last two weeks. I was contacted by Magnum. I really like Magnum. I had to at least talk to them. Sent the (one and only) recruiter an email response, explaining. He called back in 5 minutes. Said: You gotta take the pneumatic trailer job. It's too good of a job. You have to at least give it a chance. In just three or six months, you'll be golden! Can get a job anywhere. If it doesn't work out. Give me a call. I'll give you a job.
You can see why I like Magnum so much.
Part of why I accepted the pneumatic trailer job is the Terminal Manager. I just liked him from the first talking to him. He has proven true to my first impression. I'm so happy here. Yes, we have problems. I will take these problems. I don't want others problems.

just DO NOT get into any lease deal. just drive as a student driver, then rookie (or newbie). you have many years to decide if driving is for you and ownership. then if you do decide to get into ownership, take up some (perhaps) online courses for business management.

    best of luck to you

The best thing for you to do is make your best decision and then once you gain experience on the road, you will then find out the things you like and dislike. Then you can ask other companies if they offer more of the things that you like. Even though I have been with one company for many years, I know I don't like the 65mph govern or the on guard. So if I speak to a recruiter that has 75 mph trucks and no on guard then that is a step up. Sure there may be different problems, but being stuck behind idiots or slow drivers is the most annoying thing to me so I would like to avoid that.

Thats easy to fix just write all the names of the companies you'd like to work for put them all in a hat and pick one out, these days there all about the same the only difference being the colour of the hood.
