He told me that he just finished last week with his trainer and is now waiting for a truck. Then problem it seems is that there are mor people than freight to be moved. He stated that they were putting 50 people through a class at a time, He also said that there were no otr jobs with them available at this time basically nothing available for northern michigan either.
I'm not sure which way to turn, maybe i will give the pumkin people a call, can't hurt right. thanks for your advice and to all the other truckers out there looking out for one another it is a brother hood. pbroad -

I searched NTB and found where you were talking about just starting out with them this past july i believe. It sounds like they are treating you very well, do the have any other terminals in michigan.
I live in alpena so for me to drive that in my personal vehicle every time my time was up would be ludicrous , they sound like a good company but i dought they would even look at me because of where i live. please give me soom feedback on this and let me know what you have found out. thanks for the info. pbroad -
Pbrod i know gordon and maverick are hiring student drivers. I got a call from maverick last week, and gordon today, wanting me to go to orient.I turned them down because i start oreint with DOT foods monday in ILL. You might call them. I see your from Michigan, I'm from Indiana thats not much differance. Good luck in your hunt.
PBROAD Thanks this. -

THEY MEANING WERNER ARE DOING ONLY ONE THING AND THAT IS TO GET AS MANY PEOPLE THROUGH THIER PROGRAM AND ON THE ROAD WITH A DRIVER TRAINER FOR ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY AND THAT IS TOO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING TEAM DRIVERS FOR BASICALY THE PRICE OF ONE. AFTER YOUR TRAINING IS DONE THERE IS ANOTHER FIFTY PEOPLE WAITING IN THE WINGS HOPEING TO MAKE A LIVING DRIVING TRUCK BUT IN THE END THEY FIND THAT THEY WERE WASTING TIME.
THIS IS MY OWN TAKE OF WHAT IS GOING ON, WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK, ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. -
That seems to be the theme now from reading some of these recent posts of people coming out of school and joining the waitline
