    Multiple year driver speaking from experience.

    Low miles, hostile environment, loads never ready on time, haul maybe 2-3 furniture loads per week the rest are backhauls.

    The outside carriers are given the long haul preferential loads while we're given 200-300 mile loads with a backhaul attached and this is in the no touch "Point to Point" division that gets paid miles only. Imagine that, having to compete with ourside carriers for your own companies loads. You can sit for hours..NO DETENTION PAY.

    Quarterly safety bonus taken away as of MLK day, replaced with an "incentive plan" that drivers can't qualify for. .......

    Oh, drivers are not allowed to use their hard earned vacation time between Feb 25 - Apr 14 and from Nov 18 - Jan 1, 2019. ADS has officially "blacked out" those dates.

    I feel for you but I have to think there is a certain measure of inevitability at work here. I pulled Ashley Furniture loads many times when I was with Swift. I always wondered about their company fleet. There is no way they are ever going to compete with Swift or the other large carriers on cost. Not on the long hauls. And though you may think you are underpaid, I'll bet you're doing better than most of those poor benighted Swifties.

    The weekly 34 hour restart at home was all I needed to hear a few years ago when I was looking at them. Home Friday night, leave Sunday morning, good luck with that.

    Saw that in another thread and had a go-around with a few guys defending it. Can't see why, though. Getting a bare minimum 34 hours at the house after being out for 6 days is nothing more than a slap in the face. There isn't much you can do with the family when half that time is spent preparing to go back out for the next 6 day tour of duty.

    If you get home Friday night and roll back out Sunday morning, that leaves only one FULL calendar day to do the laundry, go grocery shopping, and re-pack the duffle bag/suitcase for the next week. That, to me, is NOT quality home time with the family...
