    From the outside looking in it seems like what you're doing is killing a transmission and whining. Frankly from what you're posting setting you loose on the motoring public seems irresponsible and dangerous.

    Ever heard the saying practice makes perfect? First time driving a 10 speed road ranger you will have fun its just a matter of trail and error i know i still sometimes crunch a gear when i'm in a different truck cause every truck is different even with the exact same gear box.

    Frankly what it seems like is my boss is well aware if what I'm doing and if I were dangerous he wouldn't have me keep driving. I'm licenced and I don't need a CDL mill like USA for me to drive a manual truck whether I know how to or not. This isn't USA

    So far I've been picking it up pretty fast. Boss said he would of threw me to the dogs if I was driving dangerously. I'm getting feel for it thanks


    I don't think I've rattled a gear yet. My boss has though when I couldn't get it in....he just slammed it in

    He plans in selling the truck soon so its likely transmission isn't in great shape...but I don't know much about that....only gear it is really easy to get it into is 6th

    I'm going get downshifting downpat tomorrow like you described. Yeah I noticed uphill u have to really rev it up and shift gear to gear pretty fast

    Why is I feel the box or dump truck is bigger

    But flatbed is smooth sailing. I like it better even though it is longer.

    This truck is 39 front to end

    Ive had guys that after a week were still giving me neck pains. When it clicks, it clicks. One hard one for new bloods to get is when your almost stopped, like 5mph, you still are grabbing 3rd or at most 2nd depending on the gearing. 1st is a crawler gear, and if your coasting to a light, and it changes, you think you need 1st. Nope. If your moving at all, 1st is to low.

    Yes I've been told by my boss to skip 1st........I kept stalling in the same place. Sunday when we went out I just drove in circles around the same route....I kept saying why do I always stall in the same spot...I guess he was trying teach me hard way...next day we were doing deliveries....and he's goes for uphill your going to need 1st

    Yeah he mentioned some guys he's thrown out of truck before ...mainly because they were dangerously driving....like rolling backwards. Or just did not get the concepts. I stall sometimes at intersection because I get anxious that I'm first to go ...but that isn't a big deal...I think most ppl stall there Dump truck driver was laughing at me the other day :)
