    It's because VOLVO has on the back of the cab rubber bushing not solid up and down suspension like other trucks have. It suppose to smooth the ride.So the cab side sways a little left and right. Its just different Volvo cab suspension design.

    Most problems with the Volvo cab suspension originate from poor maintenance and not replacing the front cab mount bushings and cab shocks when they are worn out.

    I've owned a 2001 770 since 2004 and never had a problem with the cab suspension.

    Do the proper maintenance on your equipment when it's needed and a majority of your problems will never manifest.

    I didn't say that anything is wrong with Volvo Cab suspension it's just the way it was designed for smoother ride.

    I know you didn't, my response wasn't directed at your comment and I apologise if it was construed that way.

    Usually around 10-15k it settles down a bit.

    I actually keep my pressures up on new tires, same as normal.

    Hendrickson steerteck axle is welded hollow , designed to save weight ; Can bent during towing if the tow driver doesn't have proper training and tolls and never tow it with loaded trailer; check the tow truck driver forums, we discussed here about this issues; I didn't know what's going on but i noticed was bouncing all over after towing; So, i replaced the entire beam twice, installed stabilizer bar,hubs, king pin bushings rims,springs, customized valves, air springs, i tried all kind of fancy shocks; the bushing at the end of spring mount won't last if the axle height is not properly set up;
    It's a nightmare ,
    I tried few Volvo shops, but they wouldn't replace it with regular spring shocks only, soo, i sold truck and got one with springs shocks only.
    I spent almost 20 years and 3 million miles in my 3 Volvo trucks, i still don't get it, why do they design the rear cab shock positioned to 45-60 degrees? my Volvo 770 were 4 shocks, now i have 2 shocks and this worthless torque bar and bushings which doesn't hold the heavy 780 cab and obese trucker :), maybe works for lighter models,; Just walk around the truck stop watch the rear of the cab, there;s no other truck or small car(Only customized the off road Jeeps) having shocks in other than vertical position, goes against their purpose, should fight gravity ;Newton's apples are not falling from trees in 45 degrees angle.
