    Good evening everyone,

hope all is well with everyone, now onto the question-----when i get my class A i would be looking at several flatbed companies, (preferably TMC) and i have a prior accident---minor fender bender, cops called, no citation, no issues, NOT on my driving report (ive checked) will this disqualify me from jobs? Anything i should be checking for? Accident was in a work truck about 1.5yrs ago (pickup and nothing was made of it)

I saw this ? in another thread, and wanted a bigger snapshot from everyone

10 years same job (only job ive ever had), only leaving to go to CDL school then hopefully off to TMC, thats my one big fear, them not accepting me cause of this incident, that is really nothing

Pete, what school are you goin to in PA???
and i agree, you shouldnt have anything to worry about, specially if it was just a minor fender bender. no big deal, and if TMC says no to you, the bright said is that theres plenty other flatbed companies out there. but tmc should not give u any problems

    Peterbilt79 and panhandlepat Thank this.

Here's one, I won't say who I drove for but, I was making a left turn at a 3 way stop (in rt lane of 2 left turn lanes) I stopped and me and the car next to me pulled out at the same time... the bleeping woman:biggrin_25516: behind the car next to me decided Not to stop and proceded to drive under my trailer (rear of trlr) no tickets for anyone, just a report from a very understanding cop who said "this is just one of those things that happens" JB Hunt (oops) put me on probation and acted as though I commited a felony. I quit some weeks later and am now gainfully employed at Old Dominion, that 'accident' also did not appear on the record or anything, but I still told them about it so not to seem to hide anything from them. Though I have to say that that probably doesn't happen too often, you know, the big twucky dwiving away without a bucket full of violations.:biggrin_2552: So yeah, no worries, just be upfront with potential employers, you'll have no problems.

Since this accident does not show on your mvr you will be in good shape.

TMC is a very strict company. Their rules/regs. etc. criteria to get on with them. I would suggest this, using someone elses phone, call them using another name and ask.

If you are given an answer you are comfortable with then continue.
( Just remember though, Recruiters are liers)

If flatbed is what you want to do their are a couple good ones ou there, the other 2 that comes to mind are: Maverick and Melton.

How much longer in school do you have?

    Good luck...............
