I get them confused. So level 1 is the full inspection, 2 is the almost complete inspection without the brake adjustments, and 3 is the so called complete inspection. I swear though, the troopers refuse to give me a passing level 1 full inspection because everytime i pass everything, they claim it was only a level 2 inspection even though they check my brakes, tires, open my hood, and check inside my cab for any check engine lights. They claim all of that is a level 2 inspection which doesnt help my DOT rating on equipment.

Not sure what's wrong be you're right, there is defiantly something missing there!
Not sure where you run, but sounds to me like it's in never never land. Here in the USA, every time I've asked for a level 1 at a scale house they have had no issues giving me one unless they are extremely busy. Shot, how hit the training scale house in Maryland, they'll gladly give you a level 1 since they are all trainees there!

Looked at MAG Safer rating. Getting a little too close for comfort (for me) on the OOS side. Hopefully they're focused on bringing that down.

um,mebe I'm looking at this all wrong, but they're below the national average in all categories except hazmat and that's literally a one off kinda deal. So, where's the problem?

Hey, if the "National Average" is your standard, more power to you ;-)

I looked into them. It looks like it's 90% if you have a trailer and 83% if you're leasing a trailer from them. I didn't dig deep enough to see if you could only lease a van from them, or if they also leased reefers, open deck, rgn etc... I am highly interested though. Might be something to draw up a business plan and see about getting a truck for. Can't blame the owner of the authority if you're not making money here, at 90% and choosing your own freight, lanes, fuel stops, having 40% advances on the load for expenses etc...

If they allow someone pulling stepdeck to lease on, I may have to bite.

What would a 10 point improper lane change across a solid white line, causing a DOT recordable towaway, with hazmat spill, do for my insurance rates as a brand new O/O under their own authority?
