1st production in North America yes. There was some earlier versions of the engine, but I have never seen one.

I have heard many things about this motor. The pete tech said that this is the troublesome engine. He suggested that I up the rating to 500hp from 455 to run a lot better.

Sorry been busy so haven't had much time to respond to you. My fleet has running 27 MX-13 with some EPA 2010 and some EPA 2013 and I am sure with the luck and support we have had with Paccar we will have EPA 2017. Overall fleet size is just over 50. The EPA 2010 like all engines have some issues, but nothing big. Oil pan or cylinder head hasn't been off one of them yet and two are in the 800,000 mile range. Still no oil consumption and great oil analysis. Couple things to keep eye on. Belt tensioners seem to suck, especially fan belt tensioner. Pulley starts to #### replace it. Do get seeping fuel tubes from unit pumps to injectors. Fix them at first sign of seeping or you will be replacing an injector. Since its a 386, cross your fingers its not #6. Have to raise cab up some to remove line. If you start to have an outside (ambient) air temp reading off, replace it ASAP. All temp sensors on engine and aftertreatment use this temp as reference so it will cause a de-rate! If you keep oil changed, use Paccar oil filters, keep overhead adjusted, clean air management sensor you will have good luck out of this engine. Just my opinions. I upload file that gives extra maintenance that you should follow. Also clean your temp sensors off listed in air management sensor documents.
