68 mph if you have new drives. If not new then they really go about 67.

Ive only gone north to Minnesota and everything East of it. Poly never has a short of those loads and I've never been offered only a West load so I haven't gone in my 3+ years here.

Most guys that run West like it. Their biggest gripe would be a shortage of West loads during summer and plenty of West loads during winter.

I see some new hire drivers get hired on from out west and complain because they don't get load offers out there much but that's because they're new and haven't figured out how. There's ways of going about getting loads you want and it takes time to figure it out, sitting in Grand prairie waiting on a West load isn't going to get you West much. That's my opinion anyways. I'm sure others might disagree.

Every time I took a Henderson load out of GP I would end up waiting there along with several other trucks for a minimum of 3 days .. last time out there I think its was 4 or 5 days down the
tube with no load ... at that time I decided that I am not accepting any more loads taking me to NV since its a major waste of time . Poly does NOT pay layover if you are on one of their yards no matter how long you sit there.
Not sure what its like being based there but I talked to guy that lived out there and he complained that he never got back there . 98% of the place is contract carriers , I forget the
name of the outfit but the yard has many of their trailers waiting to be loaded in order to go
to California . The guards told me Poly trucks only come through a few times a week , the sign in sheet attest to the amount of Poly trucks that come through there and it was usually pretty blank .

That's odd. They're advertising really heavily on Las Vegas Craigslist. I'm kind of on the fence about going with them then.. The pay seems good, 67-68mph trucks aren't that bad, but all the horror stories of them breaking down and what not.. Not coming home...

Why do ya'll still work there then? I really don't want to go back out on the road for less than 45cpm. I have 3 years total driving exp, 2 OTR. 4 years total with my license. 0 accidents/tickets. I'm a hard runner.

I have no idea why I'm here at this place or on this planet ....
.... just sort of landed here when the company I was with in California
for many years was put out of business by the Judge in a Minnesota court

So true. Some guys will sit in Grand Prairie for 3/4
Days waiting on that Henderson transfer.
I've went out there 4 or 5 times in my 3 years here.
Haven't been out there in over a year.

They can have it. Every time I go
listen up dude. This is not your normal trucking job.
They operate like no place I ever worked and I've been
Out here going on 20 years.

I told you, this is the best OTR job in the country.
Once you figure out how to work thier system.
We all work it differently depending on where we want
To go and how much money we want to make.

Some guys here make 90 grand a year,
Some make 50. But that's what they wanted.
Nobody made either one of them work more or less.
It was strictly up to them, and both of them where
    Happy with it.

    Forget about the advertising ########.
    It means nothing.
Everything you know about how a trucking company operates Doesn't apply here.
They got thier own way of doing things.

I thought they where nuts when I first got here.
How can you run a trucking company with almost
    Zero communication with the drivers.
    Guess what, it's perfect.

This whole thing is run off of leaving messages on
A machine. Nobody ever answers the phone, so
    Don't bother to keep calling.
They'll call you back after listening to your problem.

This is easy money, don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
We got it made here, and most of the drivers know it.
I've spent over 40 grand in cash in my first 2 years
here paying off and remodeling my home.
And I still got plenty left over.

I don't stay out 2/3 months at a shot either like some of
    The drivers here do.
I'm out 3 to 4 weeks then I go home for a week.
Once I hop in that truck I never stop moving till
It's time to go home again.
