This has been a bad year at Walmart.

At Buckeye you'd be mostly bouncing around Phoenix but don't be surprised if the ROC flows you over to Los Angeles area. Plus I guarantee you will be slip seating because that office is loaded with senior drivers.

    Thanks!

16 months of slip seating so far, and it’s been tolerable most of the time.

Sucks the most in sub zero temps...LMAO

I feel the same way here in PA they will not tell you anything or the truth about what there plans are at the grocery DC's if we knew too look fro another job or the carrier coming in if they will hire us or look too transfer too a GM DC just let us hanging and tell us at the last minute we no longer have a job here with no severence pay or nothing or time too look for something with a date off the expected time when they will release us

Thanks for your kind thoughts The GM DC's are safe I think but the grocery DC's I believe are going too be run by an outside carrier and when they are in a bind than they will come crying too the drivers too extend there work week and help them and I will not 60-65 hours a week is enough for me

and they have lousy meat and produce

When they can't get the stuff too the stores and clubs when they are suppose too be there they will realize they made a mistake and fire the guy and than have too rebiuld the fleet back up I seen it happen before

your right they just do not tell you anything no warning that you are loosing your job

I do not think they will do away with the private fleet but almost all will be in program trucks too utilize them too the max at the GM DC's but the grocery DC's where I work I am not too sure

yes and when they go downhill they will blame it on every one and every thing but themselves in management

there is no way a CEO is worth $20 million

I saw a swift driver get out off his truck come back too take his lock off in bare feet

And they want too replace with a company that can't even get drivers so they have too lease them from Transforce who also cannot get drivers. The bad part off all this and I see it happen several times at Walmart and Autozone they will have somebody foe a year or 2 and than they are looking for another carrier too come in too replace them. It sounds too me like they do not know which way too go or turn. I think I will stick it out and see what happens.

I pulled up in front of an elevator shop for a pickup today and saw some sweat pants and shower shoes wearing reject walking around while the loaded pallets of elevator parts in his reefer.

Sad what passes for truck drivers today.

I was leased on to a carrier that hauled Sam's club loads. Many times we had 8+ loaded trailers sitting at a club because they didn't have the space or staff to strip them and get the merch onto the floor. In that case, the problem wasn't with the carrier.

WM has some serious management issues, IMO.

Same story. When the founder dies and the kids take over, it's just a matter of time until the company is circling the drain. Some companies take longer than others, but they all end up bankrupt in the end.
