Stop giving so much of our hard earned money to other countries and we'd all be living like Kings. It's repulsive. The Founding Fathers revolted over taxes on TEA! They tarred and feathered the tax men! They are surely rolling over in their graves at how pathetic and complacent we've become. Meanwhile we're being taxed more than ever in all of US History and it's all ok. One day we'll wake up and put an end to it...hopefully.

You must be living in a cave. Just watch the news, young punks protesting and burning the flag because they don't get their way. Don't get their college paid for, don't want to pay back their student loans. They need the S#@t beat out of them, like I would have gotten if acted like that.

Go to the grocery store, get behind a 400lb woman with a lazy bum boyfriend buying $400 worth of steaks and meat with a Government issued card. All on your tax money!!!

Didn't take long for this thread to run off the rails. Back to the original post. Yes, I am in favor of an increase in the Federal Fuel Tax, which is $.24 a gallon on diesel fuel, last raised in 1993. More info:

Would I like to see every penny go into the pavement instead of some corrupt pocket. Yes. Is it going to happen? No. But some of it will.
Electric vehicles at this moment do not account for enough wear on the highway to count. When they do, some sort of tolling situation will be called for. That is the future, whether you are in favor or not. Technology is here to do it. Is there anything more fair than a user fee? Don't use it, don't pay the tax.
I love riding my bicycle for free on roads that you paid for, I don't cause any damage, don't pay the fee. And besides you also pay for the nicest trails that you can't even use.
Boy is that ever going to get some responses....
