Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

Last five or six times I was out there , they had the wash bay shut down .

 

Wintertime it's usually shut down. If the temp gets high enough above freezing sometimes they'll open it up for a few hours. Rest of the year, depends on what's broken. It was down forever late summer last year. Ripped the entire floor out and blocked the door to the drive through bay in the shop.

How often do you make it through Indy?

 

Couple weeks back was out there for 2 weeks. But once every couple of months. Just luck of the draw .

 

I absolutely despise that kind of attitude. I'd have had to really hold myself back from going all Gunny Hartman on his arse: "What is your major malfunction, numbnuts?? You think the ####### Freight Fairy is gonna sit there in the back of your trailer and hold that box up for you?? It's obvious your mother threw the baby away and raised the afterbirth!!!"

(For some reason, folks are really glad I'm not in a supervisory capacity...)

 

If that bothers you---you would have totally lost your mind back in the day at Big R----their local ltl loading and routing was an OS&D nightmare---lmao
