I really don't think Omnitracs will do any fleet-wide provisional changes without the carrier asking for it. Omnitracs is just a vendor giving the carrier a customized product to meet carriers needs and wants. If they provisioned all their units to meet the HOS regs "to the letter", you couldn't move a foot without being moved to Drive.

I'm just glad they held at 25 mph [at least for now] ... could be worse, and as long as that's the only change, it's mostly manageable. But it will cost me probably 10-15 minutes against my 70 every week, if I had to guess, just in the way/when I manage my changes. And I can think of many past moves where a break that was preserved, will now not be able to be preserved, and preplan would not have worked and/or I'd have had to flip my schedule "needlessly" (and maybe still missed the appointment) which I hate doing except when ABSOLUTELY necessary to meet appointment needs.

    I never had it.

Becky added it twice for like 24h when I was at the yard.

People abused it and that’s why it got taken away. Least wise that’s my understanding of it.

I still dont like their in cab audio, no point in that. , all for outward facing though.. still in my top 3 if they will start me at a decent cpm..I have noticed a lot of companies are going up on cpm..per diem is lost and e logs have caused some to leave trucking..the problem is is not the e logs it's the HOS rules.

They're worth it if they up their base cpm (still with bonuses) by quite a bit. Great place to work. I have a friend that's been there for 6 years and still makes .41cpm.. So.. doubt they'll raise it by much anytime soon. The type of drivers they have, stay for other things while giving up a bit of cpm pay, to them is worth it.

Well if the bonuses are attainable, which it sounds like they are, it might be worth a try..i see their trucks all over the place..

But if you prove yourself a runner and dependable and don't mind staying out 4+ weeks and enjoy running all 48, you'll be very hard pressed to find another OTR gig with as consistently high miles potential average as Holland.

And yes, all the other little perks add up, too and should be factored in.
