What's the point of doing a transfer station if you have a driver already at the wheel?

    Okay subject change.... Casual survey...

How many of you sleep on your top bunk and use your bottom bunk for storage?

Opposite of that for me. Top bunk has my everything I own on it.
I might do it differently but it's to hot up there and I'm scared of falling off. lol

Believe me .. It's not even close to the level of perfection they need to actually use on an everyday basis... They can't even get the cars to operate correctly..

Hey guys, Just checking in to see how everyone is doing these days.

Are you liking the recent changes in pay and detention? Is it noticeable? Just wondering.

Currently shut down outside NYC due to storm so i have 24 hours to kill. Customer is closing early so i won't be able to pick up till tomorrow. Lol. Oh well. That's trucking i guess.
Hope everyone is doing well there. Be safe and be profitable.

I'm now Texas Regional hauling only Bar S loads. Currently at US Cold in Laredo picking up to take to US Cold in Dallas. Appt was for 1500, but got a door (at 0930) already and being loaded because someone else missed their appt this morning. Gotta love it when it works in your favor.

My last two fuel ups have been at 7.98 and 8.37mpg thanks to the flat terrain and only being loaded 50% of the time.

    I'm loving my new gig.

Was detained about 8 hours on two different loads this past week, one paid $55 and the other $85 detention. When I was at Swift, detention paid $30 an hour in 15 minute increments so 8 hours would be $240 at Swift by comparison.

Gotta remember the first 4 hours is free. But the detention rate does seem to variable based on your two different amounts for the same time period.

I made a mistake, it was $55 on one and $30 on the other for a total of $85. Not complaining at all. It was unexpected money; at Swift it was world war III to get approved for detention and my last carrier didn't offer it at all; it was considered in the rate, although I did complain to the broker about wild goose chases a couple times when they gave me bad directions and the customer didn't know what I was there for, the broker kicked me some cash for my inconvenience in those cases.

Not sure how long it's going for, but you get a 100 points when you reserve your shower with the PFJ app.
