I wouldn't own a truck unless I was making at least that amount. That's still down 75% from crude rates back in 2012.

But I figure if you buy a $40k Freightliner every few years, even at $200k annual revenue, you’re still banking way more than most any company driver. -

Good money is subjective, but to me, even $75k seems worth the extra responsibility. If you’re the independent sort anyway. As they say in showbiz, it beats a real job! -
