Otr wants to work on my truck personally. But I need to hire a temp driver to come in and cover my route until I return. Then I would be bobtailing to Michigan from Burlington, VT cuz I am gonna bother renting a trailer.

Did you replace the cooler? You need that intact, and functioning, at least on a Cummins to cool that #6 cylinder, delete or not. I would imagine it is the same on your motor.

I don't know if I helped or not, probably not. But, I have been through this with my 2008 CM-871 Cummins and DPF system. It is not fun, and gets very expensive very quickly. I would not wish one of these motors on anyone. This is my what, my seventh, eighth truck? I have never dumped so much cash into on vehicle in my life. The EGR/DPF system eventually took out my head from high heat issues due to a clogged DPF filter. I deleted it and nursed here for another 100,000 miles until I had to in frame. We went through everything, $39,000 to go through her and replace everything but the air compressor/dryer and fan clutch. That was 250,000 miles ago, and I work like you do, not much.

I have no clue what this outfit you are working with does with their delete, but from what I read they are no better than the local Cummins butcher shop tricking the motor to do this or that. Just my .02 and I hope you get this squared away.

I can get a takeout d13 engine for $6k. If it comes to that I will swap out the whole engine.

No point in doing inframe when you can get a whole engine for fraction of the cost.

Don’t know what else to tell you. You need to cut open your DOC filter and hollow it out. Same with your DPF. Your truck is over boosting because it is trying to force the exhaust out but cannot because of the DoC/DPF being plugged up.Disconnect the exhaust inlet going into your DPF and DOC boxes and run it down the road and see. I’m willing to bet it’ll run better.
